24hr Time Support, Cancel Shortcuts, Default Reminder Time and New Formats

We've been busy these past couple weeks with some improvements. You may have already noticed some of them. Here are the highlights!

24 Hour Time Support

You Settings page now proudly displays a 'date format' option that includes 24 hour time. We also updated our interactive How to Use page with many 24-hour time formats you can use to schedule reminders as well.

cancel@followupthen.com

Now you can cancel a followup by simply sending a message with the same subject to cancel@followupthen.com. We'll cancel it on the spot. Especially handy when you get a reply and don't need the followup any longer – in which case you can simply 'bcc' cancel@followupthen.com on your response.Read more

Default Reminder Times

Reminders that don't specify a time of day (ex: "monday@followupthen.com") are now scheduled for the morning they are due – 6am in your timezone. That way, instead of your daily followups getting buried in the "late last night" stack, they will appear in the "first thing this morning stack". This also applies to the daily "pending" email which will also now arrive daily at 6am.

More Flexible Recurring Reminders

  • Starting You can now specify the Start Date for a recurring reminder by using the keyword "starting". For example, "Every3MonthsStartingApril1st@fut.io". It's long, but still faster than a calendar event!
  • Every Other [Weekday] For example:
    everyOtherMonday@fut.io
    everyOtherWednesday9am@fut.io
  • 24hr time for Weekly / Monthly / Yearly In addition to the normal 24-hour time formats we support, We now finally have them for our recurring monthly, weekday and yearly formats. Try, for example:
1600Every1st@fut.io (Every month on the 1st at 1600)
    1600EveryTues@fut.io
    1600EveryMarch2nd@fut.io

That's it for now! Stay tuned for more to come soon.
